Data Management Plans: Support package for Norwegian higher education libraries

plans.research-data.no originates from the 1-year project Data management plans: support package for Norwegian university libraries (2023-2024), a collaboration project between the University of Bergen, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Oslo, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, PhD-On-Track and ELIXIR Norway. The project aimed to create comprehensive DMP resources and guidance for both users and support personnel at Norwegian research institutions and thereby followed up on the recommendations from a collaborative DMP project by the University libraries in Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsø (Report published in December 2022: UB-BOTT-samarbeid om datahåndteringsplaner: kartlegging og anbefalinger).

The project group consisted of research data management experts with different disciplinary backgrounds.

The developed DMP Support Package consists of a modular DMP questionnaire and accompanying information pages for researchers, complemented by resources for support personnel.
All resources were co-created through an open contribution approach. In November 2024, an editorial team has taken over maintenance and further development of the open resources.
